mentions of two businesses
edit- I spent close to five years working in Mammoth and playing in Gardiner, and lived near milepost 5 for two years, so I love the place. But we need to find citations for Park's Fly Shop being one of the oldest, and for the Blue Goose being popular, or else we'll have to remove these. dates of train service
editThe article states that train service was discontinued in 1948. Is there a source for this? A reference in the Museum of the Rockies [1] shows photographs dated "circa 1965" with locomotive service active. A first Diesel train run is shown and dated to 1953, which is consistent with the time national trend of Diesel replacing steam. There also appears to be have been a bus station that was significantly scaled down from the train depot. It's possible the Museum of the Rockies information is incorrect, as there are no indicators contemporary 1965 life in the same photo as the trains. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wistlo (talk • contribs) 23:12, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
