Context: Place names such as Bürkliplatz, "Bürkliterasse" or Lake Zurich and the city of Zurich.

It is important that the recipient can also get a geographical and cultural picture of the article. An explanation of where the city of Zurich is and that it is the largest in Switzerland may be important. That Bürkliplatz is a popular square might also be important? I wonder if that is relevant. Maybe references can be made to it.

Good analysis with respect to the need to provide more context for the English target audience. Although knowledge of the existence of Zurich can be assumed, its significance and the importance (and meaning of the words) with repect to Bürkliplatz, etc. cannot. Text: Title - convention English headlines are usually direct and very informative with all the information you need. Therefore, I would not just write "Ganymede (Zurich)", but still have to think about what exactly.

It would be helpful to look at parallel texts (i.e. English Wikipedia articles) about important statues, etc. in other cities to get some ideas on how best to handle this. Chasa73a (talk) 21:42, 25 November 2021 (UTC)

Language: Tenses The tenses change frequently in the article and I have to be careful to use the correct tenses in English and not to adopt them 1:1 straight away.

Grammar/ punctuation: Since indirect speech is used in the text, see the heading "History", I have to pay attention to the rules of English punctuation.

The citations in this ST represent much more complex problems than those of grammar and punctuation. Does is make any sense to translate citations or would paraphrase or omission be a better solution? Is there a published translation of the Goethe citation in the ST (with a reliable source) or should this be omitted? Found an external link with English text and made a reference for "Bürkliterasse"

I left Goethe's quotation in German, as I saw no reason to translate it, but I made a reference to the poem in English.

It wasn't so easy to translate more freely after all, since somehow all the information, especially since it is historical, is important.
