Talk:Gambling in Australia

It would be good to intergrate these stats from the Victorian Responsible Gaming Foundation[1]

For example a summary of gambling loses for 2009/10 for EGM's is $2,519,000,000 for total in Victoria 4,981,000,000.

neutrality?

edit

I was reading this and it seemed odd to me that the second paragraph highlights the benefits of gambling, but nowhere in the article is there any mention of any negative effects

it also seems odd that "Gambling is an enjoyable recreational pursuit for millions of Australians and provides significant social and economic benefits to the community in terms of entertainment, employment, taxation revenue and funding for social and sporting infrastructure and community organisations"

is pulled straight from clubs Australia's (the largest gambling lobby in Australia) website and is fact policy of that group. on that basis I would suggest the information is partisan to that lobby, and the article needs balancing to maintain a neutral tone

Good pickup! I've removed this due to copyright violation. Orthogonal1 (talk) 08:18, 28 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
