GA criteria
editWith a few minor grammatical corrections, and the comments below addressed, the article now complies with MOS policies on layout, grammar, and structure. "A wiki of beauty is a joy forever." Seriously. That's how long it'd take to read! (talk) 19:12, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
- (a) the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct
- (b) it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation
The article makes frequent use of several reliable published sources cited in its bibliography. No signs of original research. "A wiki of beauty is a joy forever." Seriously. That's how long it'd take to read! (talk) 02:58, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
- (a) it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline
- (b) reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose)
- (c) it contains no original research
The article seems to cover all relevant aspects of its topic in a thorough but non-excessive manner. "A wiki of beauty is a joy forever." Seriously. That's how long it'd take to read! (talk) 02:56, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
- (a) it addresses the main aspects of the topic
- (b) it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style)
With a slight modification made to a single sentence, I am satisfied that the article's tone is neutral and appropriate. "A wiki of beauty is a joy forever." Seriously. That's how long it'd take to read! (talk) 02:55, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
Since its creation in 2010, the article has not been the subject of any disruptive editing. "Carry me down, carry me down; carry me down into the wiki!" (talk) 01:16, 27 April 2015 (UTC)
The two images used in the article are appropriately licensed and do not infringe on fair use laws. Both are illustratively relevant to the topic. "Carry me down, carry me down; carry me down into the wiki!" (talk) 01:17, 27 April 2015 (UTC)
- (a) media are tagged with their copyright statuses, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content
- (b) media are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions
Comments
edit- In paragraph 2 of the section "Construction and career", it says, "Latouche-Tréville was sent to Souda Bay, Crete, on 17 March 1897 at the outbreak of the Greco-Turkish War to 24 June." I'm a bit confused by the way this is worded. Is the 24th of June the date when the cruiser's mission at Souda Bay concluded? If so, it should probably be written more like "...at the outbreak of the Greco-Turkish War, until 24 June." "A wiki of beauty is a joy forever." Seriously. That's how long it'd take to read!
