Recall articles

edit

Material about recall is spread all over the place and needs to be rationalized. Sections within a good article on recall could be the targets for internal links or some of these terms could be in Wiktionary. DCDuring 23:33, 15 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Scope of free recall page

edit

In the version history there is a substantially different version of this page, that I think is more representative of the topic "free recall". The current version of the page focuses on the idea of recall more generally, and omits any reference to the idea that free recall is a popular and often used psychological paradigm for studying memory. I suggest taking the page back to the version that describes the free recall paradigm, and reviews the published experimental work that ties this paradigm to our understanding of how memory works. I'll attempt a merge of these two versions in the next few days and keep a lookout for responses to this thread if there are suggestions regarding the appropriate scope of the article. I have some expertise in this domain that I'm happy to share; I'm also happy to restrict the scope to ideas that are well accepted and published in the literature. Page Updates/Improvements

edit

I have been working on several edits for this page that I will be publishing over the next couple of days. These edits include:

  • Add internal links where needed
  • Remove unnecessary jargon, specifically in the introduction (ie. 'paradigm')
  • Add an image
  • Add missing citations
  • Add information to the 'Understanding of neurological processes' section
