Hi! I have elected to review this article against the Good article criteria, and should have my initial comments posted up shortly. Cheers, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 12:41, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have now completed a review of this article, and am placing it on hold pending a few issues as outlined below. However, this article is of a very high calibre and I look forward to promoting this article. Cheers, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 13:00, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
GA review (see here for criteria)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose):   b (MoS):
  2. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references):   b (citations to reliable sources):   c (OR):
  3. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects):   b (focused):
Is the exact date of his enlistment in the AIF known?
Heh, you know me mate, if I could say for sure I would...! AIF Project says October 1914, ADB says December 1914, so I've compromised on "late 1914". Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 15:52, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
The First World War Embarkion Roll has Lukis as joining on 4 October, and was a corporal at the time he left Australia.
Is there any further information available on his service at Gallipoli and in Eqypt?
The AWM unit history on the 10th LHR might be able to help here.
Is it know why he transferred to the AFC, and where he received flight training?
Is there any further information on why he was Mentioned in Despatches twice?
Unfortunately not, from what I've been able to ascertain. Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 15:52, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Fair enough. I've added two sources above that may be able to help in the first two points if you wish to use them. Cheers, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 00:36, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Okay, tks mate. Given the Embarkation Roll essentially confirms the AIF Project data, I've simply given that preference over conflicting info in ADB, plus made use of the 10LHR page. Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 02:04, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
  4. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  5. It is stable.
    No edit wars, etc.:
  6. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales):   b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
Although not required for GA, you might like to add alt text to the images.
Indeed I might, tks. Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 15:52, 10 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
  7. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:

Well, I am now satisfied that all of my concerns have been addressed and this article meets the Good article criteria, so I am passing it as such. Well done! Cheers, Abraham, B.S. (talk) 02:33, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Tks Bryce (did you want to alter the queries above)? Cheers, Ian Rose (talk) 03:33, 11 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
