Someone deemed my entry "non-notable." But there was no explanation as to why it was deemed "non-notable." It is impossible for me to believe that the person making this judgement has any awareness of skateboarding history (I apologize for the harshness, but it must be the case). Is skateboarding "non-notable" -- then why do so many skateboaders have entries on wikipedia?
Please look at list of skateboarders on wikipedia of which "Frank Gerwer" is listed, and tell me why so many of these skateboarders have entries on Wikipedia and Frank cannot? I fear that this has little to do with "non-notableness" and more to do with my style, or the way I've presented the article.

- The notability of a subject is usually established by presenting major, verifiable third party sources that mention the subject. Please see WP:BIO for more information. Unless you can provide links to major sources (i.e. skating magazines, skating books) that discuss the subject, this article will be deleted again. --DDG 14:35, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
Thanks, I think I got it. I've re-arranged things so that it is more immediately clear what Frank's importance is (skateboard-wise). Is the link in the article no good? Is this one better: link to access my library (ultimately from Thrasher magazine (a well known skateboard magazine))? Same article BTW, just a different source. Thrasher magazine doesn't seem to have the article on its own website anymore.
I've added links to video to bolster verification of the main claim.
Should I be including footnotes instead of links?

- The sources are fine but yes, you should be using footnotes and not in-article links. See Wikipedia:References for more information. This now seems like a notable topic with some good detail, but you may want to tweak the article for style. For example, we don't "Sign" our articles, like you have done here. You can get all of this info in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style too. --DDG 16:16, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
