I'd dispute this, since Battle is in East Sussex, and in fact is on the eastern border of the county (I'd guess more than 8 miles from the boundary).
Don't know who wrote the above - you should sign things! - but you are only half the distance! It is at least 17 miles to the west before West Sussex is reached. Peter Shearan 11:21, 5 January 2006 (UTC)
