species?

it says this is a species, how good are those facts? i'm aware for a florida strain of Large mouth bass, but not of a whole new species being found in florida. peace! Ryan shell (talk) 04:05, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

I don't think this is a separate species than the Largemouth. I have never heard of this fish and I have fished for largemouth is several states including Florida. 173.188.36.87 (talk) 04:33, 30 December 2013 (UTC)

Possible Merge?

Should this fish be merged with its species entry, Micropterus salmoides? Thricecube 17:45, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
