I have added in other types of flame detector, because they are included in the broad meaning of the title. To date the article has only dealt with optical detectors. Perhaps this should be categorised?Dougsim (talk) 10:19, 24 December 2010 (UTC)
"Solar blind UV"? edit
The final paragraph of Flame_detector#Ultraviolet_detector reads:
> The solar blind UV wavelength band is also easily blinded by oily contaminants
