Being bold, deleting "popular culture" cruft

Fire sale is mentioned in Naomi Klein's book The Shock Doctrine, where it refers to the selling of government run facilities for a fraction of their worth. I hate to say this, but possible need for deletion?
This is a very poor quality article. In fact, it seems to have sprung up entirely from Live Free or Die Hard and has spun downward from there. If this article cannot be improved, I suggest it be put up for deletion. I cannot find this term in any dictionary, and I have doubt to its merit to being a true word. Discuss. Marlins Template
I decided to remove the Florida Marlins page footer template as I feel it doesn't really belong in this article. While the term "fire sale" may have some relevance to the Marlins (and other teams), the primary use of the term is not in the sports world. The bit about how the term is applied to sports teams looks OK to me, as it describes one of the many applications of this term.
