ISAD

edit

Any idea on why there is no Wikipedia page for ISAD?

Is this the item in question? http://www.ica.org/en/node/30000 --Felix Folio Secundus (talk) 14:03, 29 August 2010 (UTC)Reply
At present, we have ISAD(G) (General International Standard Archival Description) issued by the International Council on Archives (ICA).--151.28.188.248 (talk) 05:33, 21 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed reorganization

edit

As part of class on archives, I would like to re-structure this article to provide more information how to use and generate finding aids. There's a good deal of information, but the organization is not conducive to helping a newcomer understand the document. Most of the article consists of an overview section; I would like to break this down into 'Purpose,' 'Components,' 'How to use,' and 'How to create' sections. The 'Components' section needs a better description of the contents list, a crucial part of a finding aid. Time permitting, I would like to reduce the list of examples while incorporating some in the text of the article. Does this seem like a good plan of action?Student-historian (talk) 22:10, 27 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
