Notice of intent edit

I have decided to take on the task of reviewing this article. I'll have a quick-fail criteria review up shortly. Cordovao (talk) 10:59, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Quick-fail criteria review edit

  1. The article completely lacks reliable sources. OK
  2. The topic is treated in an obviously non-neutral way. OK
  3. There are cleanup banners that are obviously still valid, including {{cleanup}}, {{wikify}}, {{NPOV}}, {{unreferenced}} or large numbers of {{fact}}, {{clarifyme}}, or similar tags. OK
  4. The article is or has been the subject of ongoing or recent, unresolved edit wars. OK
  5. The article specifically concerns a rapidly unfolding current event with a definite endpoint. OK
  • Conclusion: I have found that the article does not fall foul of the quick-fail criteria. Therefore, I will be moving onto a proper GA review later. Cordovao (talk) 16:01, 30 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
    • Comment: The article only contains eight references. While that is not a direct violation of the GA criteria, I'd like to see at least 10 references to be consistent with other South Park GAs, i.e. The Ring. —Terrence and Phillip 05:46, 2 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

New GA review edit

  • Is it really necessary to mention the UK airdate?
    • I think so, if it's available. Including one date and excluding the other would strike me as U.S.-centric. — Hunter Kahn (c) 16:51, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • and was rated TV-MA L in the United States – Can you add "for strong to extreme language" to the end of the sentence?
  • The episode was a reference to the increasing international media attention to Somalian piracy (I think it's better like that, though I could be wrong)
    • I think it is better grammatically without it. I'm not a stickler for this though, if it will hold up the GAN, please feel free to add it in. — Hunter Kahn (c) 16:51, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • Merge the second and third paragraphs in the lead (the third one is too small).
  • Could you add another image to the article? It's a bit empty. (Suggestions: Trey Parker, Maersk Alabama hijacking, Piracy in Somalia, Blackbeard)
    • I actually added two. Is that OK? — Hunter Kahn (c) 16:51, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
  • who gave the episode an A- grade – Use − instead of a hyphen.
  • The publishers in refs 1, 7, 10, and 11 should not be in italics as they are websites and not magazines. (Use "publisher=" instead of "work=")

Nice work on the article, it was really interesting to read. I will put it on hold for a week. Good luck! :) TheLeftorium 15:04, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Everything looks good so I will pass the article. TheLeftorium 18:56, 3 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
