Bizarre article

The title and definition are very poorly explained. The article describes a very specific kind of myth, whose relevance is not very clear, but then the title is ultra generic. It's not even clear what this has to do with privacy. I suggest to merge to an article discussing the Facebook terms of service, as a minor example of how widely misunderstood they are. --Nemo 11:37, 20 March 2018 (UTC)

• The title is plural (i.e. generic) because it refers to a collection of related hoaxes that have popped up multiple times over the years in similar but different forms. I get that it seems vague, though, so maybe a retitling would be a good idea. "What this has to do with privacy" is that the hoaxes say that you can protect your own content's privacy on Facebook by posting a status (which of course is not true). But I wouldn't mind merging it into a hypothetical article on Facebook's terms of service or something like that. Every morning (there's a halo...) 13:50, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
