Merge
editI merged and added to information from gown, which is now a disambiguation page. It made no sense to have two very similar short articles. Plus, now the info on women's formal wear is centralized. Quill 06:48, 25 September 2005 (UTC)
Highland dress
editArticle could benefit by a description of lady's equivalent to white tie when accompanying a gentleman wearing the most formal kilt (including accessories if differing from the usual, or a statement that these are the same as worn with any ballgown. The kilt article states that the black tie version is usually worn even at white tie events. Quill 20:51, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
Article could also benefit from a note on dress styles. To begin with there's 7 cut styles on evening dresses. Maybe a section on crafting.
The 7 different cuts
editWhat are the 7 different cuts exactly? The article only mentions sheath, mermaid, A-line, and trumpet shaped.--142.177.24.80 (talk) 23:56, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
The Evening Gown Is Formal
editPLEASE DON't REMOVE THIS! THE EVENING GOWN IS FORMAL, NOT SEMI-FORMAL. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.68.47.83 (talk) 20:43, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
