Involvement as expert in lawsuits
The article lists four lawsuits in which the subject of the article supposedly was a computer security expert. The cite given in the article is just to the case identification.
- Slapikas v. First American Title Insurance Company, 75 A.2d (W.D. Pa. June 25, 2008). [1]. That's a U.S. District Court case, so it reported. That case was about overcharging for title insurance. The decision has no mention of any computer security issues.
- Gorilla Store LTD, ET AL v. Michael Thompson, 993 N.E.2d (Ohio Com. Pleas November 11, 2014). [2] Real case, pro se defendant in Common Pleas court in Cleveland, an expert report by someone was filed on that date. Expert not named. Checking further.
- Invista North America S.À R.L., and Auriga Polymers, Inc., v. M&G Corporation and M&G Polymers USA, LLC, 75 A. (D. Del. February 19, 2013).[3]. Patent lawsuit, with discovery.
- Frank Gates Managed Care Services v. Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, 993 N.E.2d (Ohio Com. Pleas August 17, 2012) [4] Lawsuit against government agency. No mention of Vanderberg yet.
It's plausible that the subject of the article was an expert in these cases, but confirming this from free online sources is difficult. John Nagle (talk) 18:43, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- The case information initially discovered on the expert witness cases did not use the Wikipedia reference format. I tried to use the court template but the fields were different so I had to figure out how to get those elements.
- Gorilla Store LTD, ET AL v. Michael Thompson, In the Court of Common Pleas, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, Case No. CV-14-825792, November 11, 2014
C4Polymers, Inc., v. Huntington National Bank, ET AL, In the Court of Common Pleas, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, Case No. CV-12-790341, March 14, 2014 Invista North America S.À R.L., and Auriga Polymers, Inc., v. M&G Corporation and M&G Polymers USA, LLC, In the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, Case No. 1:11-CV-01007-SLR-CJB, February 19, 2013 Frank Gates Managed Care Services v. Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, In the Court of Common Pleas, Franklin County, Ohio, Case No. 12-CV-005616, August 17, 2012 Slapikas v. First American Title Insurance Company, In the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, Case No. 2:06-CV-00084, June 25, 2008
- I created the citations using this for the abbreviations: http://ralresearch.creighton.edu/content.php?pid=116688&sid=1006662 and this for the reporter and volume. http://lib.law.washington.edu/ref/repdig.html Professornova (talk) 21:22, 17 November 2014 (UTC)
- The format of the case citations are fine. The problem is verifying the extent of the article subject's involvement with the cases. John Nagle (talk) 06:20, 18 November 2014 (UTC)
