Sole Sarahan erg in Morocco or sole Saharan erg, in Morocco?

edit

Is this the only erg in the entire Sahara, which happens to be in Morocco? Or of the many Saharan ergs, is this the only one which is in Morocco? The wording is unclear. crism 09:18, 18 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have read somewhere (I guess in the Lonely Planet) that Erg Chebbi is the only erg in Morocco, given the strict requirements of geographers (height, amount of sand etc.). There are more ergs in Sahara /Erg (landform)/ JanSuchy 06:23, 19 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
This erg is not in the Sahara desert but rather still hundreds of kilometers away from the start of the Sahara desert in Algeria.
None of the Moroccan ergs are part of the Sahara desert. See the link.

A graphic from a tourism website is not a reliable source and interpreting it to make claims it doesn't explicitly claim is original research. ThaddeusSholto (talk) 17:19, 23 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Arabic rendering

edit

The Arabic rendering in the edit page looks right, ending with what would in English be "ash shabi", but in the article it looks more like "ath tharbi" because you can't see the extra spike under the three dots and - more importantly - because the letter before the letter "ba" doesn't join onto it but drops down, making it look as though the letter "ra" is there. Why is that? P.M.Lawrence. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.194.51.115 (talk) 15:24, 20 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
