Talk:Enterprise carbon accounting

As a researcher in the field, I find this a very useful -- and notable -- topic. Please keep this up (without deletion) so that more in the community can add/contribute and make it a more comprehensive reference.

This reads to me to be a complete advert for the company Climate Earth and its services for life cycle analysis, as opposed to presenting a new way for corporate emissions measurement All the topics it discusses are covered in other articles on lifecycle analysis. This is indeed a complete ad for climateearth.com The term enterprise carbon accounting has a different meaning for most people. Climate Earth is trying to co-opt it here. Jorgen123 (talk) 20:37, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

While this may be an ad for another firm, as a provider of an Enterprise Carbon Accounting Solution for JD Edwards & E-Business (Companies using Oracle software) I found this useful to try and understand what sort of terms are used to describe this sort of solution in other countries around the world. There are very few software solutions available to corporations large or small to capture their environmental data in a way that conforms to the principles of the GHG Protocol and as such articles like this that help business assess the different options available to them are still useful & relevant. Most corporations (including very large global organisations) still rely on spreadsheets for their Environmental Reporting & management - meaning data is incomplete and inaccurate - even though they have Enterprise resource planning in place - they are simply not aware that solutions to spreadsheets exist.--Sach w (talk) 02:29, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

This article should be deleted - it is just a ad for climate earth. There are many terms on the market like corporate carbon footprints, business carbon footprint, enterprise carbon footprint or enterprise carbon accounting. climate earth tries to established their marketing term "enterprise carbon accounting" via wikipedia. Climate Earth may originated the term, but it is in general use now so maybe that resolves the issue. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.198.248.224 (talk) 06:54, 19 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV

edit

I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:

This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
  1. There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
  2. It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
  3. In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 00:10, 22 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
