Feedback from New Page Review process

I left the following feedback for the creator/future reviewers while reviewing this article: Thank you for this new article, but I am confused about the text on their name. If they are now officially called Le Cercle Anglais then that should be the title of the article, and the lead paragraph can say "formerly known as..." But on the other hand, it appears to me that they may still use the old name in regular operations, while Le Cercle Anglais is an official paperwork-oriented name. Does anyone know for sure?.

I hope I am responding to this correctly...first talkie... Thanks for the notation. My wording was unclear, so I have changed it to "also known as". This is a quirk in old French law that didn't permit the use of English spelling in names. It also applies to individuals, so Mary would appear as Marie in official documents, while remaining Mary in church registers and on her tombstone. The same goes for Henry and Henri. What would be applicable rule of thumb on this. In summary, one would look for the English Club (as represented in the plaque photo listed the chairmen posted on the page) in the "English Dictionary", while looking for le "Cercle Anglais" it in French dicionary. Thoughts please?

I think that might clear it up. If they call themselves "English Club of Pau, France" then it should be acceptable for Wikipedia to do the same. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 13:08, 19 February 2020 (UTC)
