I've requested images from SRNL that can be contributed to wiki commons.
I'm considering adding... "GlassWRX US (previously Silica Dynamics) operates a plant in Beaufort, South Carolina and is currently the sole manufacturer of engineered cellular magmatics."
I don't want to be too spammy, but aside from Savannah River National Laboratory, they are the only real authority on this stuff. Thoughts?
- KMRCollaborative, before adding these images, please clarify how they were provided. On Commons they are labeled as "own work", which is apparently not the case if you then feel the need to add "courtesy of GlassWRX". Has the actual owner (GlassWRX) really released these images under cc-by-sa-4.0, or did you just select the least complicated option from the upload menu? Are they and you aware that this license allows even commercial reuse of the image by anyone? These photos might turn up in someone's commercial campaign next. Are they down with that?
- Assuming that is indeed the case, please don't add any kind of attribution into the figure legend in the article - the attribution is available when clicking through to the image from the thumbnail, and shouldn't appear anywhere higher up. - Elmidae, Sorry, and thank you. The images were provided by Dr. Cory Trivelpiece who is a staff scientist and researcher at SRNL. They are aware that I was putting them on a wiki page, and he got clearance from all concerned. They have also since been posted on flickr to make it clear that they are available under attribution I'll re-upload to wikipedia commons(?) and make the notes there.KMRCollaborative (talk) 00:57, 27 February 2021 (UTC)
