Modern scholarly sources
editThis article needs a lot of work. The content is not consistent with modern scholarly works such as:
- A House of Many Mansions: The History of Lebanon Reconsidered by Kamal Salibi (a "modern classic" of Lebanese history, referred to by Leila Tarazi Fawaz (p234 of An Occasion for War: Ethnic Conflict in Lebanon and Damascus in 1860) as "the best analysis" of this period.
- The View from Istanbul: Ottoman Lebanon and the Druze Emirate by Abdul Rahim Abu Husayn

edit@Photomenal: Stop adding unsourced stuff. Read WP:OR please. You can't keep reverting others calling it "unexplained". Beshogur (talk) 22:48, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
It is not unsourced. See the Arabic section of this article or the English version of the “flags of Lebanon” article. Do you really believe that someone made up some random flags for the sake of it? I am on my IPhone currently but when I get the time I can provide sourced material to easily prove that the listed flags did not fall down from the sky. BTW as far as I could see it (could be wrong), you were the one who removed the flags (I did not add them originally) for no apparent reason.--Photomenal (talk) 22:54, 26 June 2021 (UTC)

. Yes I don't see any source on the files. Beshogur (talk) 23:07, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
I will have to add some sources to put an end to the dispute. The flags used are by all means historically authentic.--Photomenal (talk) 23:12, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
- I am waiting then. Beshogur (talk) 23:18, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
