Contested deletion edit

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... clearly notable.Deleting admin should note the wasteful CSD by @Bakertheacre:, never looked to check if article passed WP:GNG . The subject is a police boss/ Director of NPSC of Kenya, which is the body inchatprge of the whole police body in Kenya. How is he not important? --Megan Barris (Lets talk📧) 20:20, 22 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Synoman Barris, Again, the page only has this information - Eliud Kinuthia is a Kenyan security specialist. He is currently the chairman of the National Police Service Commission.[1][2][3]
Secondly, this is under WP:CCS that it is nominated, not by notability or any other criteria, as the tag states. Also, your statement above is borderline in calling something wasteful. So do not attack editors, this is about the article. Bakertheacre Chat/What I Baked 20:24, 22 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
Bakertheacre, I better leave this to D.A, I will for the mean time expand the article. Regards Megan Barris (Lets talk📧) 20:33, 22 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
User:Synoman Barris, User:Bakertheacre - I disagree with the speedy deletion. I don't think that the nomination was "wasteful" or disruptive, but I do think that there is a credible claim of significance, and that, if there are questions as to whether there is a credible claim of significance, that is a credible claim of significance. Speedy deletion should be for clear cases, not for arguable cases.
I would direct the author to this essay on sub-stubs, and suggest in the future expanding an article to a full paragraph before putting it in mainspace, because it is better not to have A7 requested than to have it declined.
Credible claim of significance is related to notability, in that a notable subject always makes a credible claim of significance, so the assertion of notability is an assertion of significance.
I disagree with the A7. I don't have an opinion at this time on biographical notability. Robert McClenon (talk) 22:26, 22 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
I think that answers the question that I was asked on my talk page. Robert McClenon (talk) 22:26, 22 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
Robert McClenon, thank you. I wasn’t aware they reached out to you on this matter which pretty much seems like circumventing the conversation on this page in which they could have tagged you. I’ll remove the A7 if you have not already done so and consider this matter closed. Bakertheacre Chat/What I Baked 22:29, 22 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
