Talk:Electronic Data Systems/Archives/2020

Proposed Addition (Advertising)

I'm not sure how to approach this, as perhaps it's not typical to put something like this in an encyclopedic entry, which is why I felt it best to put in the "talk" page for discussion. Particularly, this is a discussion about the noteworthiness of the 2000 Super Bowl "Herding Cats" commercial https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_MaJDK3VNE which itself has over 2 million views, and the copy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=/Pk7yqlTMvp8 with over 6 million views. Any suggestions/thoughts/concerns on this are greatly appreciated. In the interim, I will do my homework on how to approach this, and post any proposed heading and language here. After reviewing Youtube for EDS ads, I found the "Airplane" ad, where they take another cliche "Building an aircraft while in flight" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2zqTYgcpfg and commercialize it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2zqTYgcpfg, and having looked at the Coca-Cola, this is much clearer. Seems like that would look something like this embryonic insertion:
Header "Advertising" Text: EDS had memorable television commerical advertisements in the U.S., which employed well-known cliches, notably the 2000 Super Bowl commercial "Herding Cats" and the followup Super Bowl commercial which featured aircraft being built while in flight.
