Green from the ABC is one of, if not the, most eminent political reporters in this country, therefore it is a valid source of the description of the location of the electorate in a state wide context. The title 'Thuringowa' is the title of the Electorate, there is no source that I know of that disassociates the electorate from the urban centre collectively known as Townsville-Thuringowa, in fact there a numerous sources which refer to the Electorate of Thuringowa as one of four electorates which represent Townsville-Thuringowa (or in many cases, as with ABC, just 'Townsville').

I would be happy to hear opinions on this topic other than those of Thuringowacityrep|talk whose opinion has already been made very clear and whose editing I consider to be bias (LGA centric). From the discussions that user has been in lately it’s pretty clear that I am not the only one who feels this way. WikiTownsvillian 15:45, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

just had to add this here to show that you seem to be the only person with a prob you said it in your own words. and while I am here as im sure you will be reading this any discussions that I have had with other users were about other things and not this article and one of those I was in the wrong about 1 thing once again you seem to be the only user that has a problem and if you left my edits alone long enough for other people to see we would be able to find this out..... will take again soon Thuringowacityrep 12:09, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

just can't win with you....every website states that Thuringowa is its own Electoral district as is Townsville, every site except that ABC site and this is a story from a reporter, wouldn't it be more accurate to cite this info from all the government and electoral sites that show and say that both Townsville and Thuringowa are separate electoral districts...can we please not have a repeat of what happened before this is getting silly and it looks like your just trying to irritate me, but you have to admit that the facts are in the refs on this page, they all say Thuringowa is the Electoral district and none of them say anything about it being a Townsville based Electoral district except for the one from a reporter from a TV station. this is not the best ref to use and I feel that it doesn't really need to be here as all the other ref's give enough info. would love to here yours and anyone else's reply Thuringowacityrep 11:10, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

mate why don't you do as i asked and leave it on here for a while and see if anyone else has a problem with it ...it looks like you are the only one that has the prob the page is about Thuringowa's electoral district s othere is no need to have all the other points about Townsville and the same goes for the Townsville district page there is no need for Thuringowa the page is not about the location and how close it is to Townsville its about the Thuringowa electoral district your just being stupid about this know and we have NOT discussed this you just told me you didn't want to talk about this i will change it back and i would like it left like that for at least a week and if nobody else changes it then it should stay isn't that fair....i think so Thuringowacityrep 10:51, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

Thuringowacityrep, I agree to your proposal except with one slight difference, we will leave the way I wrote it for a week and if no one has a prob with it (other than you) it will be left that way, if my edit is contriversial then no end of Wikipedians will jump on it as they have in changing your edits. I have already made clear that I'm very happy to listen to view points other than yours (which has already been very clearly articulated) about my writing. if you go back and look at the history QazPlm wrote the article and yes if we leave it like it is now not many people will say it needs changing due to the fact that (as has been said) Not a lot of people know of Thuringowa and wont know that it is incorrect,like i have said this page has nothing to do with Townsville so why should it be in here (like you said when i put Thuringowa in the Townsville page) every website says Thuringowa or Townsville not Thuringowa/Townsville don't think i will give up, remember you are the new user and i have been here over 3 years and i never had a prob with anyone like i am having with you.

i must say smart idea to say leave it like it is now but this is bias, it has been that way for some time so put it how i have said and see what goes on if it gets changed then fine i will forget it and leave it incorrect and misleading to make you happy but if nobody changes it then my way (the way the books and website have it) must be ok ....dont you think.... Thuringowacityrep, I have tripled the size of the article and added seven references and you have made a total contribution of 0... so I think the benefit of the doubt should go to my (referenced) version. the reasion i have 0 on this article is because you keep rev it and you may have tripled the size of this page but most of it is your POV and some ref from a reporter at least i had facts that didn't mislead people and you call my edit vandalism ...wake up...your the new user don't say what i have done is valdalism when you don't really know what it is, you will be hearing from others soon because i have had it with you it's a shame 1 new person spoils what was a nice site you'll be hearing from us soon Thuringowacityrep 13:01, 20 December 2006 (UTC)
