Article creation premature? edit

Until the ALP supreme court challenge to the redistribution has occurred, is the creation of the article premature? Timeshift (talk) 07:55, 1 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

[Declaration of interest: I created the article] Even the ALP is doing preselection for it. I'm not sure what possible outcomes there are from the Supreme Court, beside throwing out the appeal. If the action is upheld, and the Boundaries Commission is sent back to do it all again, there's a chance they will still end up with a district of King in roughly that area. If not, then the article can go through a deletion process if it turns out to be fiction with no interesting aspects. At the moment, the only "speculation" in the article is "... will be contested for the first time at the 2018 state election." We have articles about the 2018 election and the list of candidates for it, well before the writs have been issued and the nominations closed, so it seems reasonable to also have articles for the electorates. I expect less edits required for the electorates than for the candidate list. If the election doesn't occur, we have bigger problems! --Scott Davis ^Talk 10:24, 1 March 2017 (UTC)Reply
