Rainforests have been estimated to have more than 10 million species of the living things on Earth. Rainforests cover 6% of the Earth. More than two thirds of the worlds plants are from rainforests and over half the animals in the world like the rainforests.

Rodgers & Panwar Book from WII edit
Wildlife Institute of India had published a technical report :- Rodgers, W.A.; Panwar, H.S. (1988) PLANNING A WILDLIFE PROTECTED AREA NETWORK IN INDIA. Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun. 1&2 Will try to get you a photocopy. It gives zoogeographic zoning of India with map and description of each zone.AshLin 18:47, 9 April 2006 (UTC)
