Would anyone oppose the following change, on this page as well as many other pages regarding localities in the West Bank? As an enclyopedia, I would expand articles so that the legal status of the land in question (whether by "occupation", rule without annexation (current status of most of the West Bank, past status of Gaza Strip under for most of the period from 1949-1967, to name but two), or "annexation/"rule", applied sovereignty to the land (as is the case with the Russian annexation of Crimea and the Israeli annexation of East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, Moroccan annexation of Western Sahara, to name but a few)) would be clear going back to 1918.
Do editors suppport the change below? If anybody has any other suggestions, please suggest an alternative.
British Mandate era
During World War I, Ottoman sovereignty ceased and *******INSERT VILLAGE/AREA NAME HERE****** came under British occupation in World War I. Civilian rule began in 1920, although the Mandate for Palestine wasn’t assigned to the British until 1923.
note for editors viewing the RFC:*********the Mandate was published in 1922, effective in 1923....also, despite the name, it appears to me that “‘Trans’jordan”, although briefly without a government from 1920-1921, only involved land EAST of the Jordan river, hence not relevant to land east of the River********* I did not mention any of this above as it appears unduly technical for such a limited and brief overview of the territory.

Remaining under Jordanian control after the 1949 Armistice Agreements, it was annexed by Jordan in 1950, remaining sovereign Jordanian territory until 1967 (Jordan lost control of the territory in 1967 and rescinded its claim to the land in 1988).
