Roman numerals

I have a theory that for the cars numbered with Roman numerals (CI, CVIII, CIX, CX, CXI, CXII and CXIII), the C might have stood for Car rather than 100. If that was the case, then they already had cars 3 to 7. The new cars became 1 and 8 to 13. The car bought in 1882 was numbered 2, to fill in the gap between CI and 3, and it makes sense that the two cars bought in 1883 were numbered 14 and 15, to follow on from CXIII. So then we would have CI, 2, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 7A, CVIII, CIX, CX, CXI, CXII, CXIII, 14 and 15. Unfortunately, this has not been published, so I will not be adding it to the article, but it is an interesting thought. Bob1960evens (talk) 12:56, 22 June 2019 (UTC)

The Auld Tram - information is slightly confused

I think this could be an error in the source, but the information on the location of the Auld Tram is slightly muddled. It is not in Commercial Street, but beside it in the short section of Murraygate that runs from Commercial Street to High Street (there are no surviving tram lines in Commercial Street itself so it could not be on top of them as described if it were located there). Also while I think it is owned by the Bridgeview Station restaurant, it does not form part of that restaurant is stated here, as it is located in a completely different part of Dundee. It does feature a vintage railway carriage, but that is not in anyway connected with the historic tramways. Dunarc (talk) 21:48, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
