DragonFable Wiki Page

I agree with the proclamation up top the dragonfable page, it really needs an entire rewrite. Alot of things are false, presumed (said before known), and it is not very orderly. PureThought 21:50, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

DragonFable and Deletion

As with the past forms of this page, I highly suggest that this article be severely improved and updated should one wish to keep this page from being deleted. This page has been deleted 5 times already, for the exact same reasons this page will be too unless crucial work is done. In one week, I will put this page and any other AQ, DF, or Artix Entertainment articles that do not meet any requirements to stay on Wikipedia up for deletion. This will not delete the page right away, but if nothing is done to justify this page's presence here, the result will be the sixth time this page has deleted, which will continue to improve all reasons for administrators to keep this page from being created again much in the fashion it has been now. Characters

Shouldn't the article mention the other classes in "Characters" instead of "Starting out (Classes and choices)" because you can mention that in "Characters" as well as the Guardian Class and how become one (Confirming your Guardian in AQ)? RyuuTaichou

Right now it looks like its for decoration only and if you beat "Race to the KeyGems" when your a guardian you can buy the Guardian Blade for 5k :P RyuuTaichou

Personally, I don't think that the second Dragon Fable article be merged, I'm going to nominated it in WP:AfD (Wikipedia:Articles for Deletion). And when it is deleted we can put in a redirect. My reason is that this article has undergone some pretty serious un-reverted vandalism. So it shouldn't be merged. §†SupaSoldier†§ 16:09, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Falconreach

I think that's an unnecessary part of the article if you check out other RPG articles they don't list their each of their cities in a specific section and describe it, they just mention it in parts of the article and give a brief description. Because if we keep adding stuff like this and that the article is going to become way too long. Someone can make a section in the DragonFable Storyline or a Setting in DragonFable in gameplay about the setting instead of putting it in the main article. There is a large chance that they will be diffrent, was gorgok diffrent from the ice dragon? They will have their own colour based on the egg, also they will have diffrent elements, and the storyline only entitles getting the Dragon, I'm talking about if you can raise it or how to fly it anc things like that :p. Guardion Skills

New water weapons

Complaints

I see that someone has deleted my unoriginal gameplay complaints. While I appreciate that you may feel this is an invalid complaint and that Dragonfable is totally and completely origanal in every way. Personally I and from what I see on some Battleon forums, Runescape forums, and most of all World of Warcraft forums a lot of other gamers think that they are a buch of stuipid unoriginal programmers who coulden't think up an idea to saves their lives. That is our complaint I will rewrite it in a (Hopefuly) neutral fasion. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM FIX IT DON'T DELETE IT AND HOPE IT GOES AWAY!! It is as much a valid complaint as the Wars, party system, and everything else. Edit: Its done its factual and neutral in my opinion. If you think its not neutral enough FIX IT if you think its not factual enough FIX IT if you think it should be removed then have a better reason than "I can't bear to face the truth that Artix is a bunch of rip offs so I'll just get rid of this before people start to realise the truth" Thank you for reading this and good luck

I deleted your previous entry. It was in the wrong section (under DeathKnights class instead of Complaints), it was biased and, as I stated in my edit, it was already addressed in Complaints.

But seeing as WoW and Runescape invented magic, programming AND the wheel, I do understand your outrage! Re-Re complaints

Yea that was under death knights but I added a section under complaints which was also deleted after being improved apon by another person.....

While retiring might be a little excessive getting over your denial might be a not bad plan. WOW and Jagex did not invent the wheel, programming, magic, elves, orcs, humans, dwarves, goblins, Fremmenics, Gnomes, tanks, seige warfare, (Although Tauren and Vyrewatch are pretty origanal) Vampires, werewolves and many other things they have massive amounts of original gameplay. They also borrow from other people I admit. Dragonfable has some interesting and original content but there are some parts that many people myself included think are ripped strait out of other games (xan = ragnos I have fought both they the same thing pretty much). And while borrowing deathknights as MOBs might be acceptable announcing that they would release a deathknight class 3 days after WOW is very literaly ripping them off totally. (They will probably release deathknights after they look at a few youtube vids of the WOW version, but they might try to release them sooner than that) Gollum the fishy hobbit

I don't believe I was the one who removed that section under Complaints, but I did edit it somewhat.

As for the current 'rip-off' debate under Complaints; I tidied it up a bit and fixed a few links and typos. I also changed Ragnos to Ragnaros as Ragnos is a Star Wars character. I assumed you were referring to Ragnaros in WoW so I also wikilinked it. Please edit this if I made the wrong assumption.

I also added som info on the origin of death knights. As the article was it might be misinterpreted as if WoW were the first to introduce death knights or the term "death knights". --Nemi133 15:29, 23 September 2007 (UTC)

Re-Re-Re-Re Complaints

Artix Entertainment games frequently spoof many movies and games, I don't understand how this is any different from the "Zardwarts Wand" or "300 Elite Knights", Dragon Fable has a very satirical nature, but I wouldn't say it rips-off other games. Besides, like it has been mentioned, WoW didn't exactly invent Deathknight.

I took out the bottom setion because it was obviously written by someone who has no idea what the hell they are talking about. 1st the death knight picture refrenced was for a MOB not a class. (AS I said the problem that many people including mysself have is not death knight MOBs but the fact that dragonfable decides to rip off WoW 3 days after the official announcment of wrath of the litch king, blizzard had been hinting about releaseing deathknights as a class for some time before hand) The official announcement of a death knight class for dragonfable came 3 days after blizzard. If you feel this is an injustice too darn bad, I realise that Artix has a history of parody but this is obviously not a parody. Getting really ticked

Ok this is a message for what ever idiot keeps putting this at the bottom of the complaints section.

I would just like to state that Artix released a photo of the Deathknight on the August 2nd Design Notes . Unless AE has contacts with Blizzard employees and knew that the class would be released, it is not a rip-off.

There are two problems with this First the use of "I" obviously. Then the fact that this has no bearing as it is a picture of a death knight MOB, as in mobile object, monster, Non player character, boss. Not class.......

Take a look and you will see the class announcement is on august 6th 3 days after the announcment of deathknights by blizzard (More than enough time to draw a picture)if you want further proof I will try to find the thread on the wow forums "Death Knight evidence" that was written some time after the release of burning crusade with a compilation of evidence that death knights would be released as a hero class. how ever it may have been deleted as death knights were announced. Finally someone with brains! (Maybe) the complaint with death knights is simple

August 3rd Blizzard announces the release of the long awaited hero class deathknight class in additition to exsisting death knight mobs.

August 6th Artix announces playable death knight class in additition to exsisting Deathknight MOBs

The issuse: many people feel the only reason that artix felt it nessesary to release death knights AS A CLASS was because Blizzard did it.

Is this put in simple enough terms for you to understand??????

Stolen Content Complaints

I don't feel it should be included. Blizzard didn't invent the DeathKnight.DK's were in D&D.Most things were originated in Dungeons and Dragons.If you include the fact that gamers allege AE steals content from other games, then go ahead and edit all of the wiki RPG's entrys with complaints saying they allegedly "stole" content from D&D. I feel complaints should only be about the Cons(as in Pros and Cons)of DF. Complaints - DeathKnights: How is this correct?

In Complaints it says:

"Blizzard Entertainment, who created all four Warcraft games, has used Deathknights as MOBs (Movable Object Blocks) and released the Deathknight as a playable class in the 2002 Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos."

(Before I improved the piece it said: "Blizzard Entertainment who created all four Warcraft games released the Deathknight as a playable class in Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and have used Deathknights as MOBs in World of Warcraft." As you can see I did not change the meaning.)
