Talk:Downsizer

Could the editor who has expressed a concern with this article please help me put things right? I am rather new as a wiki editor but certainly think that the downsizer website deserves inclusion in this encyclopedia. I am neither a founder member nor an administrator of the site. I simply find the site very useful and appropriate for people wishing to downsize their lives. Notability help required please. Can this be done via the discussion tab? Hello. The most common way to demonstrate that a subject is "notable" and merits an article is to show that it meets the following criterion: "A notable topic has been the subject of at least one substantial or multiple non-trivial published works that are reliable and independent of the subject." The full explanation is at Wikipedia:Notability. Has the site, for example, received significant coverage from newspapers, magazines, or other websites? If so, this can be mentioned in the article to demonstrate the site's notability.
There are guidelines specific to web content at Wikipedia:Notability (web). This page indicates that a website can also be considered as notable if it wins a notable award or has its content distributed through a notable independent medium. EALacey 17:22, 30 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Sorry for not signing the post. As I have said I am fairly new to this.

There is a reference to the site in question here: http://www.aboutus.org/DownSizer.net

Other than that I am still searching for proof as to why this very usefull and informative site should have a place within Wikipedia. If someone can help me with the technical side of this then that would be great. Thanks, Simon Sjcheslop 17:28, 30 March 2007 (UTC)sjcheslopReply

Thanks for the help with that. Looks much better now. I will continue to add more to the listing as relevant material becomes available. Simon. Sjcheslop 10:53, 2 April 2007 (UTC)sjcheslopReply
