Doosan Group is one of large South Korean chaebol(conglomerate). Doosan started its business history in 1896 when Park Seung-jik opened store in Baeogae, Seoul. Doosan took over Korea Heavy Industries in 2001, Korea Industrial Development Company in 2003 and Daewoo Heavy Industries & Machinery in 2005.
