Why?
editWhy do door tenants exist? What is their purpose? WP should be more than a dictionary. CalzGuy (talk) 16:15, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
- In general, barristers practice as self-employed lawyers from the court chambers. However, some barristers do not practice in the chambers but have their offices located elsewhere. Even when they do not hold rooms in the chambers, being practising barristers entitle them to have their names appear on the door of the chambers.
- In order to show the difference between them and barristers who do have rooms in the chambers, these barristers are called 'door tenants' and the latter called 'full tenants'. Em Cee Ho (talk) 07:52, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
