This looks like a mistake edit

"Document Editor" was not (and could not be) a brand or a proper product name. Xerox documentation seems to have referred to the document-editing component of integrated systems of the Alto and Star era as the "document editor". If it really is something that I couldn't find, it might deserve a sentence of two in some history of Alto, Star, Xerox, or Xerox PARC, but doesn't seem to merit a stub, especially with a generic name like "Document Editor". The earliest WYSIWYG document editors were developed at Xerox PARC, and were called Bravo and Gypsy. The designation document editor is clearly generic, like window manager, as in this retrospective on the Xerox Star. I've redirected the page to Word processor.  --Lambiam 21:04, 24 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
