Sulfite Ions issue

edit

The ion structure for disulfite is wrong.

it should be [O2S-O-SO2]2- It is an anhydride salt of [HSO3]- The mechanism is also wrong for the addition of sulfite on sulfur dioxide the attack must be make by the oxygen double bond of the sulfite to the sulfur of the sulfur dioxide.

It's not wrong; studies[1][2] suggest that, in contrast to intuition, and in contrast to structure of disulfate, it is [O2S-SO3](2-). --Z 15:05, 13 March 2016 (UTC)Reply
