Opening paragraph - Stereo Dipole? - Bipole? edit
I know exactly what a dipole speaker is, but i do not understand the opening paragraph at all. If I were a rank newbie, it would send me skittering back to google straight away.
What does the first sentence mean? That "dipole" and "bipole" mean different things? Well, so do "dipole" and "penicillin." I guess it means that both "dipole" and "bipole" have different meanings in different contexts. Why bring up bipole? The opening paragraph should either be removed (best, I think) or clarified and moved to a disambiguation page. Or maybe there could be a "See also" links for "stereo dipole." P.s. I am also familiar with various methods for reducing interaural distortion, as described in the section on ambiophonics. Circa 1980 I auditioned Polk speakers that used that technique. Not ever have I heard such a setup called "dipole" or "stereo dipole." (I also sprang for a "Carver Sonic Holograph" unit. It hummed.) Jive Dadson (talk) 10:32, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
