Removed [[:Image:NiCl2(dppp)Rxn.png] from the article - if anything, I think it's a delta + charge, not a formal + charge on the carbon adjacent the halide. In any case, the equation won't balance if it were a full + charge there.

Also, I think this molecule will have C2v instead of C2h point group symmetry. That means that the C2 axis will pass through the center carbon and the central nickel atom. --Rifleman 82 (talk) 14:46, 26 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Image:NiCl2(dppp)Rxn.png doesn't fit with reference: the real reaction is actually more interesting! (a varient of Wurtz coupling)
As for the point group, it is unimportant IMHO. The compound is theoretically chiral (planar chirality), but in practice the racemization of the two enantiomers is complete in solution at normal temperatures, through flipping of the seven-membered ring and through decoordination–recoordination of the diphosphine ligand.
