This page has been tagged for copyedit for style, cohesion, or tone. To start with, I assume that this is in British, rather than American English.
While I know about Western classical music, I do not know much about Indian music. To me, this particular article has a very flattering tone for this music, to the point of exaggeration. "This rāgam is one of the most popular scales across the world." Perhaps, but a citation would be needed to verify that broad claim. The grammar is fine, the spelling is good (assuming the Indian words are spelled correctly), but the tone and style is not objective enough for Wikipedia. --DThomsen8 (talk) 14:21, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- The scale is most popular - but not under the name Shankarabharanam. Hence, reworded the sentences to give clarity that the scale is common across the world. The Western Major scale is very popular - that does not need any reference (per WP:ASF) and can be asserted, I hope. VasuVR (talk, contribs) 02:23, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
