I've read this article over twice and I still don't know what "depression focused recharge" is. The article does not seem to say. My guess is that it's in this sentence:
If instead water puddles in low lying areas, the same water volume concentrated over a smaller area may exceed field capacity and groundwater recharge.
Another sentence might be helpful here, such as "...this is known as depression focused recharge." But I know little about this topic: I'm just asking that the article be clarified.
