  By definition marketing is an art of finding out consumers demand in a particular market. 
  Marketing is divided into three types which are;
  Primary marketing;This are marketing deals with exchange and distribution of raw materials.
  Secondary marketing;This deals with exchange and distribution of secondary products such as khanga and vitenge. 
   Marketing of services;Refer with provision of services in business activities.Example insuarance and warehousing.

Functions of marketing include. 1.Marketing research;Is the process of collecting all information or data in order to find out consumers demand for a product. 2.Branding;Is the process of giving particular name of a product to distinguish it from other products. 3.Transportation;Is the physical movement of good or people from one place to another place. 4.Warehousing;Is an activity of keeping goods in the warehouse until needed. 5.advertisement;Is an art of making good and service to be known to the public.
