Talk:Department of Health and Social Security

Latest comment: 3 months ago by 92.21.44.39 in topic Hi

The Department of Hate and Social Sickness (DHSS) was set up as a direct response to the Department of Health and Social Security (DHSS). It involved more than forty artists in all and lasted for a period of three years. Installations and performances took place throughout London and the group was included in a BBC film called "The London Underground". The group was set up as a direct response to Thatcher's attack on the unemployed and had a large following in East London. It influenced several other art collectives. Why should alternative culture be removed? Isn' this a kind of fascism. I believe some mention of the DHSS should be included in this section

And I'd love this to mention the bureaucratic-alternative full name of the DHSS: Department of Stealth & Total Obscurity. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.49.62.127 (talk) 17:11, 4 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
