CWD not BSE

edit

Not surprisingly, BOVINE spongiform encephalopathy (mad cow disease) affects only BOVINES. There is some concern in the scientific community about a transmissible spongiform encephalopathy in deer and elk populations, but this disease is known as Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD). I am changing the article to reflect this fact.

Deer Ranching

edit

Shouldn't this article be called "Deer Ranching"? I think it should. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.211.201.229 (talk) 21:02, 15 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

  Done I added a note. 71.198.89.109 (talk) 02:50, 8 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Similar Species?

edit

Deer is not a species, it is a family, and elk, moose, and reindeer are all species of deer. So the second sentence:Similar species such as elk, moose and even reindeer may be farmed in this method as well, sometimes on the same land should be merged with the first sentence, but it may be changed back.202.123.130.53 (talk) 11:58, 25 August 2014 (UTC)Reply
