Comments: The purpose of this post is to review the new entry on 'Decentred English' and to recommend its continued inclusion on Wikipedia. Darius Degher's term is an extremely useful one, and the entry captures succinctly its importance in describing the global evolution of English beyond the Anglosphere. Degher's own online Shipwrights journal and programmes like Lancaster University's Centre for Transcultural Writing and Research have actively promoted such transnational and intercultural uses of English.Lshorsley (talk) 23:50, 16 April 2010 (UTC) For more information about external reviews of Wikipedia articles and about this review in particular, see this page. |
