the original text on the page was only referring to very specialized research that is only loosely related to this topic. Also it made no mention of what a dark state is. The 2001 paper which is referred to (but not referenced), from what I can tell at glance, deals with theory, not experiment. The explanation of how the experiment works and why dark states are important for it is a bit unclear. Replaced it with a more general explanation. --V. 19:34, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Could be better worded here
editFrom a particular model follow a set of selection rules that determine which transitions are allowed and which are not. The sentence here is a bit unstrung, it needs to be worded more accurately. Damotclese (talk) 18:09, 7 December 2017 (UTC)
