Fair use rationale for Image:Cutey Honey Music Collection 1.PNG edit

Image:Cutey Honey Music Collection 1.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Cutie Honey Soundtracks edit

If this article is to be merged why not merge it with New Super Android Cutey Honey: Music Collection Vol. 1 as Cutie Honey (soundtracks)? 97.115.133.168 (talk) 06:16, 2 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed merge edit

I am proposing a merge of the following articles.

These articles are either stubs or not much larger than stubs and can be merged into Cutie Honey (soundtracks) without too much trouble. 97.115.129.240 (talk) 03:49, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

The talk page merge tag was added without any explanation, as far as I can tell. I definitely support the three-way merge though; none of the three have the basic multiple sources to confirm notability (yes, they are all related to the very notable Cutie Honey, but it's far better to meet the general guideline to avoid future deletion or drama) and there's almost certainly not enough data out there for more than small Start-class articles, either.
One could go further: it could be Music of Cutie Honey (see e.g. Music of the Final Fantasy VII series) and have some info on the various opening theme versions and ending themes too. (Did you know that Junko Iwao sang a version of the Cutie Honey opening theme on her album Anime on Bossa thirteen years after voicing the character Natsuko in New Cutey Honey?) The merged one would be easier for registered users to watch for additions and vandals as well. --an odd name 06:05, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
The talk page merge parameter was added to the template for use during the 2008 tag and assess (and later use) to keep track of anime related articles which Could potentially be merged with other articles (or lists). The parameter was never intended as a replacement for the normal merge templates, discussion, or process:-) but rather as a way to have statistical data available. Of course it helps if it starts discussion amongst editors.
In this case List of New Cutie Honey Music, -albums or -soundtracks are appropriate names if the article uses a list format.

To call it anything with "New Cutie Honey" is equivalent to an oppose: only the second one is from that series, and the rest are part of the general franchise, so we'd be back here wondering how to merge the rest (or all of them). :) --an odd name 10:19, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
I would find either Music of Cutie Honey or List of Cutie Honey CDs as an acceptable alternative to Cutie Honey (soundtracks). I have seen the article Music of the Final Fantasy VII series and if the merged article can use the same template (Template:Tracklist) then by all means merge. -- (aka 97.115.192.240) allennames 16:39, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
@AnOddName: My mistake, sorry. The emphasis was intended to be on List of, the rest being whatever is more appropriate. I'd reckon using the format of List of Popotan soundtracks might be appropriate (it is the best example within the scope of WP:ANIME at the moment, and incidentally, it uses {{tracklist}}). I would like to wait for AnOddName to respond but List of Cutie Honey soundtracks is acceptable to me. I am too much of a greenhorn to be using the {{tracklist}} template but at least it should be mentioned in the new talk page. allennames 18:07, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
I guess that's acceptable. I just don't want the non-album covers to be out of scope. The Korean version by Ahyoomee was noted by the media for her performances and for its blowup online. Without the covers, or at least the controversies with Ahyoomee, a page about Honey's music is incomplete to me. Perhaps they can go in its Legacy section. (Music of the Final Fantasy VII series does that with the "Black Mages" arrangements and OC Remix versions. List of Popotan soundtracks mentions no covers so it probably doesn't set precedent.) --an odd name 20:30, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
I hve a bare bones page set up in my user space. Please read User:Allen4names/List of Cutie Honey soundtracks and tell me what you think. -- allennames 20:40, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
Replied at its talk page. --an odd name 21:09, 20 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
Discussion about the proposed merge should be resumed here. This does not mean that discussion about the proposed target can not be done in it's talk page. -- allennames 05:38, 21 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
