Capitalisation matters, apparently
editThe redirect needs to be to HTTP 404#Custom error pages. With the lowercase c, it just takes me to the top of the HTTP 404 page. With the uppercase, it takes me directly to the section like it's supposed to. 71.109.148.126 (talk) 21:01, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

Very simple request: The anchor to the redirect's target is entitled "Custom error pages" (note uppercase), and the anchor fails with lowercase ("custom error pages") as it is now. meteor_sandwich_yum (talk) 10:48, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
