References for Verification
editIt looks like this article has been untouched for a while so I'll see what I can do in the way of getting a few references together. Anyone who feels like doing the same should feel free. Jack of Many (talk) 20:45, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
I've added a number of references for the new material I've written for the article, but I'm leaving the refimprove tag in place until the whole article has been improved on that front. Jack of Many (talk) 19:14, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Orphan status
editThere's scope for links to this article from others. Ellen MacArthur circumnavigated the UK in one as a youngster, something that isn't covered in that article and is probably worth a mention. Jack of Many (talk) 20:45, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
- I've now edited the Ellen MacArthur article to include her ownership of and circumnavigation of Britain in a corribee. I've left the orphan tag in place as a reminder to include further links where possible though. Once I've done that I'll remove the tag. Jack of Many (talk) 19:15, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
Written like an advertisement
editThis will probably take some work. I'm going to have a read of some other yacht model articles to find a more neutral tone but if anyone else fancies doing some work on that front before I get aroun to it do feel free. Jack of Many (talk) 20:45, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
Fan
editWe owned a Corribee Mk2 bilge keel built 1978 launched 1979 from 1993 till the end of 2007 when I sold her to my scrum mate (he still owes me 528 pints of beer). We sailed our Corribee as far as 100NM from shore and even in 8Bft. Despite her small freeboard and draft of we never felt unsecure. I reckon that a Corribee still can compete most other boats in its length. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.173.101.189 (talk) 23:50, 11 September 2009 (UTC)
Corribee number 1
editI not only know the current owner, but I have briefly sailed in her and polished some of her brass-work. I feel like a part of me is in the record books now. Unfortunately, although the current owner expressed an interest in contributing to WP, he hasn't thus-far had the time to. But I still hold out hope that he will soon. Of course, he values his privacy, so sourcing might be an issue. On the plus side, royalty free photographs are covered. :) MrZoolook (talk) 09:38, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
