Proposed merge with Forensic entomological decomposition edit

These pages largely cover the same topic, with different focuses with Corpse decomposition focusing on how the environment affects the decomposition, while Forensic entomological decomposition focuses on the applications of the science to crime-solving. Agreed. It seems that the only use of having this page is to advertise the environmental factors that affect the process of decay. The article was originally terribly worded and borderline unreadable, and I've put in a good amount of work to make it properly formatted. Perhaps we could use portions of the newly edited portion of this page for the simple English version of Forensic entomological decomposition? Let me know what you think --Heber89471 (talk) 04:31, 17 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
I agree that a merge makes sense, especially given the weak nature of this original article. I do think that Forensic entomological decomposition is too specific, however, since it refers to a particular method of measuring decomposition. Is there any reason this can't just be merged back into Decomposition? There's not much here that's actually specific to human remains, which it seems was the purpose of this page in the first place —Wingedserif (talk) 16:30, 19 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
Closing, given the absence of consensus for any particular action, and discussion has stalled for more than a year. Klbrain (talk) 21:54, 7 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Historical understanding edit

What was the understanding of the process of corpse decomposition in the Middle Ages? What about in Judea where we have the Raising of Lazarus story (four days post-mortem resurrection)? It seems to me that we need a section in this page (or Forensic entomological decomposition) about the historical discoveries and advances in knowledge on these topics. Present tense vs. future tense edit

In the section Environmental factors, the word will occurs often. Why? Wouldn't it be simpler to simply say sunlight also influences instead of sunlight will also influence? What about corpses in the past, didn't they behave essentially the same? --RolandIllig (talk) 22:35, 20 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
