Pinholes and stray current edit

I have to say, internal stray current is practically non-existent. I don't want to say non-existent just to show I have an open mind, but as a corrosion engineer investigating plumbing failures for over 5 years, testing pipes with amp meters and Swain hoops, it has never been an issue for internal corrosion. Stray current is typically a exterior surface phenomenon for buried services. I'll try to find my Roberge book to confirm that reference.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 221.215.137.36 (talkcontribs) 01:03, 10 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Lead Paragraph edit

I don't like the Lead Paragraph much. I don't think it introduces the subject very well, but I don't really know what to say well enough to change it. I imagine we should start with a broad statement about its worldwide use. I assume it is currently used very commonly all over the world ? I have a link for what it is made of too, if somebody can think of where it should go and this site gives some more useful information about it, to put somewhere. Maybe a simple paragraph about the history of it is possible. If anyone wants to work with me to improve the Page, please get on touch: https://www.copper.org/publications/newsletters/innovations/1998/09/tube_recycle.html#: IceDragon64 (talk) 21:39, 31 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
