Talk:Cooper's Law

Who was Cooper then?

In a lifetime of reading SF and teaching literature (with a special interest in terminologies), I have never come across this term. What is the source of the idea? Who, indeed, is Cooper? In what context was the "law" formulated. Without background information, this comes across as an idiosyncratic (if interesting) neologism. RLetson 20:28, 4 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

You have a point. This was added to the Forbidden Planet article 17 April O4 by one "Bob Wallace" who has a TALK page USER TALK: Bob Wallace but no user page. Later it was offloaded to its own page and, er, *amplified* by the automatic machine of Wikipedia. I've put a note on his user page asking for a cite. I've done a Google search and failed to find a Corresponding Cooper's Law (although there's one about machine connectivity).
I think I'll also put up a nominate for deletion tag which should get everybody's attention. And I suggest a read of WP:NOT.Steve 21:11, 4 July 2006 (UTC)Reply
