Comments edit

  • Please move the refs (3, 6) to the end of the first paragraph of 'Description'. Done
  • Suggest moving the bit about Beauveria from 'Parasites' to 'Non-pesticidal management'. Done
  • Why not wikilink the headings 'Potato', 'Eggplant', 'Tomato' in the 'Examples of insecticides' table. Done
  • Suggest delete 'In the future' from last line of 'Description', so it begins "The beetle has the potential..". Done
  • Suggest the first 2 paragraphs of 'As an agricultural pest' be placed in a subsection 'Potato crop pest'. Done
  • Can we have a photo of at least one predator or parasite, preferably eating a Colorado beetle/larva, to illustrate the ecology section?
    • Done There are loads of images of predation by shieldbugs floating about, but not with the clear CC licensing that is required. Checked commons, flikr, and CC Search] for obvious candidates from the list. Currently added the image from the French page on Coleomegilla maculata predating eggs.

References edit

  • Most of the refs seem to be like "Bloggs, J. R." but there are some like "John R. Bloggs". Suggest put all of those into the Surname, Initial (space) Initial style. There are some like "Bloggs, J.R." without spaces which need fixing too. Done
  • Could you ensure that all refs have either a date or an accessdate. For instance 13, 14 have none (and they need publisher/website too). Done
  • There are one or two refs in BLOCK CAPS - please reformat them. Done
    • Just ran the page through AWB for fixes to hyphenation in referencing as well.Zakhx150 (talk) 16:51, 12 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Summary edit

This is a fine article, splendidly illustrated with maps, and clearly narrated. It's a worthy GA. If you're thinking of taking it further, best make sure every row of the Examples table is fully cited. If you can spare the time to review some other people's articles at GAN and share your expertise, that would be very welcome. Chiswick Chap (talk) 19:02, 12 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
